Meet the Three Crowns Crew: Sidney Snyder, Social and Digital Media Specialist

We’re back with another “Meet the Team” blog! Get to know our amazing Social and Digital Media Specialist, Sidney Snyder! (Spoiler alert: She’s incredible).

Hey, I’m Sidney!

I’m a lifelong Nebraskan and a true Virgo – born and raised in North Platte before graduating from Wayne State College in May 2021. Now, I live in Omaha with my husband, Austin, and my Goldendoodle child, Copper. I like to spend my free time painting, going for walks, and avoiding squirrels at all costs. My secret super power is making stickers and my kryptonite is steak kabobs (seriously, I would give up everything for a good steak kabob).

Other things I 🥰: Christmas Eve with my family, buying new cups that I rarely ever use, drinks from Scooters, going to the zoo, and – most recently – being an aunt!

What’s your favorite song and why?

It would have to be Drops of Jupiter by Train. This was the song my dad and I danced to at my wedding, and it’s always held a lot of sentimental value for me.

What’s your secret talent?

I am a woman of many obscure talents. For example I can juggle and make balloon animals.

Think of an item that has special importance to you. What is it and why is it meaningful?

My wedding ring! It was designed by my husband and includes diamonds from my grandma and great grandma.

You’re stuck on an island and you can bring one famous person with you (who’s not a survivalist). Who are you bringing?

Air Bud. He would have us off that island before the paparazzi knew he was gone.

Where are you from and how did you end up in Omaha?

I’m originally from North Platte, NE but moved to Omaha so my husband can attend school at UNMC. Although Omaha is our home, we still go visit family and friends in North Platte regularly!

If you could learn any other language, which would you choose and why?

I would learn Spanish, especially since I have a lot of friends and family who speak it.

What’s your go-to drink or snack while working?

My tried and true is a diet coke and goldfish but lately I’ve been really into apples and caramel dip.

What sparks your creativity?

The chance to learn new things! I love learning and getting the chance to try things with my own hands. Whether it’s a work project, a new craft, or just a fun new skill for myself, I love creating.

(Bonus fact: Sidney’s side projects range from custom sticker creation to Omaha’s broomball league! When it’s time to unwind, she drops in for a hot yoga sesh or takes her adorable pup, Copper, to the local dog bar).

What’s a 2023 goal you have that’s not work-related?

I would like to run a 10k this year! It’ll be quite the feat considering I don’t run 🤷‍♀️🏃‍♀️

While I’m not a runner (yet!), I do love going for hikes, camping, and being outdoors in general.

What does a day in your life as Social and Digital Media Specialist at Three Crowns look like?

As a Social and Digital Media Specialist, I work on a lot of content creation. Specifically, I create content for social media, podcasts and videos.

I love my work because every day is different and I always get to learn something new!
