Google Business Profile optimization
We had an energizing week at The MarketCounsel Summit and the panel that connected with us most is the one featured in this article by Diana Britton. The topic? How to approach marketing with the right mindset that will make it a revenue driver in your firm instead of just a cost center.
Panelists Tony Stich, Candice Carlton, and Matt Middleton were joined by moderator Shannon Rosic and gave tips like how to evaluate ideas, how long it takes to expect success, and why proactive marketing is a necessity and not an optional growth strategy.
Ramp Up Your Revenue
Google’s making headlines again this week with their annual “Year in Search,” which reveals the top searches of the last 12 months. Our favorite part is their new addition of a local option, which allows you to see the most popular searches by city (or even zip code!).
As we shared over on Twitter this week, we were surprised to find that Omaha is the only city where “indoor water park near me” was a top search.
What Does Your City Search?
Redesigning your firm’s website can be a long, complicated process. One of the best things you can do is make sure you have the right people on your team upfront. Few things are worse than a committee of reviewers who all give input just to have given input.
When it comes to redesigning your website , make sure you pick people who have the authority to make changes and the humility to recognize that they don’t have to say something if they don’t have anything to say. This article from Orbit Media will help you whittle down your list of stakeholders to an efficient, effective team that can get through the process quickly and successfully.
Assemble Your (Website) Avengers
Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) is a crucial factor of any firm’s ranking in search results. This is a short article on four ways to get the most of it – most of them are pretty basic, but I’m willing to bet that most advisors haven’t looked into the Google Marketing Kit, which is linked in point #4. It’s worth checking out, if nothing else for some free, quick social posts.
