Must-Read Financial Industry & Marketing Articles
Tyrone Ross Says Goodbye to Onramp
The world of WealthTech was shocked and rocked this week when Tyrone Ross unexpectedly stepped away from his cryptoasset startup, Onramp Invest.
Tyrone was one of two co-founders of the company along with Eric Ervin, and his massive personality, outsized humanitarian efforts, and infectious belief in the positive benefits of crypto helped the product launch into the stratosphere quickly with an impressive initial funding round and more on the way. Even if advisors didn’t necessarily believe in crypto, most seemed to believe in Ross.
Unfortunately for Onramp, Ross’ exit also seems tied to the exit of other top talent from the firm like Justin Castelli and Torie Happe. Where does Onramp go from here? While the software is unchanged, the company itself looks entirely different now and many advisors may be questioning its direction.
While Onramp’s future is uncertain, one thing is certain: We don’t think it will take Ross long to resurface with another earth-shaking idea that advances the human side of finance.
Family Takes on Financial Literacy with Futurvest
Rosa Chalekian and Alex Chalekian are perhaps the most visible power couple in wealth management right now. Alex is a long-time financial advisor, and Rosa is Chief Compliance Officer for Lake Avenue Financial.
So when the pair announces the launch of a new venture – it’s big news. That big news is called Futurvest, and it’s an all-new effort to take on financial literacy. With a content library, community to interact with other users, and the ability to meet with a live coach, Futurvest is a consumer-focused effort to help people build better financial habits by getting better insights into their behaviors and actions.
We’re excited to see this launch and where it goes. Congratulations, Chalekians!
Get Huge Ahrefs Discount by Donating to Ukraine
You won’t find this one if you Google it, but we swear it’s legit (you can find others confirming it here and here). The founder of Ahrefs – one of the top SEO tools out there – is from Ukraine and they shared the following message last week of a special offer for new and current subscribers.
The long and short of it is this: Donate any amount to an approved charity, and they’ll extend your subscription twice as long as your donation amount.

Ad Rule Checklist
Okay, “checklist” may not feel like the right word for a 28-page document, but this is the most thorough CYA doc we’ve seen regarding the new Ad Rule, and we highly recommend keeping it on file.
Not much else to say about it. It’s long, it’s boring, but it’s an incredibly useful tool that can help keep your marketing compliant.
Here’s what we’ve been listening to this week.

Zach McDonald, President & CMO
“I love when a new jam from one of my favorite artists does not disappoint.”

Johnny Sandquist, Founder & CEO
“Laid back indie rock is the soundtrack to my life.”

Connor Brandt, Graphic Designer
“My favorite new track of 2022 thus far.”

Delaney R, Digital Marketing Specialist
“I don’t know what’s cooler… the song or the music video!”

Justine Young, Content Writer
“I’m manifesting my road trip dreams with this song’s retro vibes.”
