We’re back with another “Meet the Team” blog! Get to know our amazing Project Manager, Amber Froendt.
Hi there, I’m Amber!
I was born and raised right here in Omaha, where I studied Project Management at Bellevue University (go Bruins!). When I’m not in the office organizing workflows and keeping everybody on-task, you can find me at the gym jamming out to Mötley Crüe 💪 or hanging out with my adorable Toy Aussie named Stella.
Some of my favorites include: Halloween, guacamole, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, and (of course) lifting weights.
Read on to learn more about Amber’s career as a Project Manager, her plethora of pets and her go-to snacks – (spoiler alert: it’s water.)
Life before you joined Three Crowns is almost inconceivable to me now. You keep our team on track, organize our tasks and seem to have a solution for every problem. With that said, what’s your favorite song and why?
Hail to the King by Avenged Sevenfold. To jamming in the car, to hitting it hard at the gym, it’s just always a mood.
We see you, Metalhead. So what’s your secret talent?
I don’t really have a talent, but I can leg press 550lb, that’s pretty cool.
Think of an item that has special importance to you. What is it and why is it meaningful?
I don’t really have a material thing. I’m a very minimalist person, but something very important to me is my dog, Stella. I don’t know what I would do without her.
(Fun fact: Amber has many pets, but Stella is the one she’d save in a house fire).
You’re stuck on an island and you can bring one famous person with you (who’s not a survivalist). Who are you bringing?
Megan Thee Stallion. Two bad bitches on an island? We can do anything.
(It’s a well-known office fact that Amber’s second choice would be Yung Gravy).
Where are you from and how did you end up in Omaha?
I was born and raised in Omaha. I was planning on moving to North Carolina as my brother is there, but then I met my current partner and started working with Three Crowns, and haven’t looked back since!
Fun fact: Amber’s dad is a local legend here in Omaha, known as Coach Froendt to anyone familiar with Westside’s football program.
If you could learn any other language, which would you choose and why?
Spanish. This would have the most logical benefit.
What’s your go-to drink or snack while working?
Whiskey? Haha, I drink a gallon of water a day, so water is the vibe.
What sparks your creativity?
I don’t have anything per say that sparks it, but I do just like to put on Medieval-like music, put my head down and get some work done.
What’s a 2023 goal you have that’s not work-related?
I am working on getting my PMP, with a goal of having it by early summer.
(Note for all us non-nerds: The PMP certification is an industry-recognized credential for Project Managers – having your PMP makes you a boss in the professional world!).
What does a day in your life as a Project Manager look like?
It very much is different from day to day. When we sign a new client or project, I will spend the day building out a project plan with deadlines, which team member is assigned to what, and organizing workflows. Once that gets Johnnys’ sign off, I upload it into our Project Management Software.
