This week’s mixtape includes:
Wealthies winners (!!!)
A new RIA launch
Social tracking tips
WealthManagement.com held its annual Industry Awards ceremony last week, and a great many of our friends took home some new hardware to add to their collections.
Congrats to the winners!
Winner Winner Chicken Parm Dinners
Holistiplan teamed up with Kitces.com to deliver educational content around tax planning within Holistiplan’s platform. Seems like a good fit considering that dipping your toe in the tax pool is a pretty intimidating prospect for most advisors. Now you can breathe easy knowing that Michael’s trusty Blue Shirt® will be there to help you make sense of tax topics along the way.
They’re gonna Learn Ya Something
Always neat to see a new national RIA join the fray, and this week the world met Choreo, a firm with tons of experience in wealth management, financial planning, and also tax planning – which puts it in a unique space in the RIA world right now.
A New Kid on the Block
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Social media is a mixed bag. Maybe I haven’t said those words, but the basic sentiment is there.
Sure, there can be some value in it, but, like our lovely home state of Nebraska, it’s not for everyone. But most advisors use social in a very generic way that just checks the “be on social” box without actually engaging with anyone.
If you’re gonna social, make sure to do it right. And you can tell if you’re doing it right by keeping track of everything.
That’s why I love articles like this that can help you identify what’s working and what’s not quickly and effectively. Check it out! Or don’t, and don’t use social media – either way works! Just avoid the generic third option that doesn’t work for anyone.
