ONRAMP IS ON… OFF… ON… OFF…
The employee carousel at Onramp Invest continues.
Both Caitlin Cook and Nyle Byer, two of the most visible executives at the startup, announced their departures. If you’re keeping tabs at home, that’s now basically the entire leadership team gone over the last several months, aside from co-founder Eric Ervin.
Such a tumultuous period in a young company’s growth usually spells trouble, but Onramp did just close a Series A. So maybe brighter days are ahead?
Predicting the future is never easy, or possible, and the recent massive selloff in the crypto world isn’t helping Onramp’s public perception. But right now things are looking especially cloudy.
A Series of Unfortunate Events
DON’T FEAR THE SEC MARKETING RULE
You’ve probably heard about the SEC’s new marketing rule by now – you know, the one that says advisors can now use testimonials in their advertisements. But in case you forgot, the financial regulators sent out a nice lil’ reminder to all registered investment advisors last Monday.
The gist? Follow the rules. Or else. 👿
As intimidating as it can be to implement new policies while the SEC’s breathing down your neck, that doesn’t mean you should avoid using testimonials altogether. Remember, the new rule is expanding your advertising options – you just have to remember to follow the rules. Which means documenting. And documenting your documenting. And – well, you get it!
HOW TO CREATE A BRAND STYLE GUIDE
Think you got style? Are your knees weak and arms heavy?
It’s one thing to have a brand style, and it’s another thing to successfully implement it across your entire company. That’s where a brand style guide comes in.
A brand style guide is a document that tells every member of your team what message they should emulate. Whether you’re talking to clients, writing a blog, designing your site, or even just posting a meme on social media, you want your brand to remain cohesive and consistent.
Luckily, Content Marketing Institute just dropped a new how-to you can use to get started – check it out, tweet us your thoughts, and do a TikTok dance to celebrate 💃💃💃
TRACK YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA METRICS LIKE A PRO
Social media isn’t just for the young’uns anymore – we’ve all got a reason to be on board at least one platform. But online content moves quickly, and it takes a lot of time and effort to create consistent, quality content. How do you know all your Gen Z intern’s hard work is paying off?
Enter this handy dandy infographic: a six step how-to on tracking social media metrics (both organic and paid). We ❤️ a great marketing reference tool, and this one is so good we might just have to print and laminate it.
Has your company jumped on board the social media train yet? If so, what metrics are you tracking? We want to know!
